Teaching The Player

When going near an NPC, The player is prompted with the letter E above their head. This is to communicate to the player that they are interactable. When the player hits E on their keyboard, It will allow the NPC to communicate to the player and provide either story dialogue, or hints to help the player seek out optional objectives.

Player Feedback

The player's main objective is to collect 3 carrots in the level. When a player spots a carrot, they will notice it spinning in midair and glowing. After the player runs into it, it makes a sparkling sound, which indicates to the player that they are collecting an important item.

Prospect

When the player spawns in the starting area, they start inside of an enclosed burrow. When the player looks above their character, they will spot an open area with NPCs, Enemies, and a Carrot to collect. This area of prospect serves as an introduction to the action of the level.

Refuge

There is a spot in the level where the player can head back underground and meet with an animal NPC. The player can stay here to pause or to keep away from the action until they are ready to explore again.

Motion

The level features motion for NPCs, Enemies, Main Character, and in the texture. In the picture is a pool of water that is animated inside the level so that the level feels more alive as a whole.

Leading lines

Near the beginning of the level, the leading lines of the platforms help guide the player into 1 of 3 possible paths.
